The concept of the Stuttgart-based architectural firm haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 emerged as the winner. In addition to the client LBBW Immobilien, the jury also included representatives from the city and local council as well as architects and urban planners.

The sustainability certificate in gold from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) is being sought for the sustainable construction and use of Königstrasse 1.
